KITCHEN MANAGERS & CULINARY TEAM MEMBERS

JOB PURPOSE:

North Park Beer Company is looking to hire positive, hard-working, charismatic, kind, and enthusiastic Culinary team members & Kitchen Managers to be a part of our expanding team at our Crown Point and Bankers Hill locations. Prior experience in a fast-paced, high-volume setting is a plus but not required. Kitchen/Culinary team members will be focused on creating and executing a simple menu constructed with the highest quality ingredients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform all tasks required of the Culinary team by ownership, management, and supervisors

  • Receive ingredient orders from various food vendors and verify inventory

  • Cook various food items on a flat top griddle and grill, in a deep fat fryer, convection oven, or on a hot range

  • Prepare ingredients, sauces, appetizers, entree items, and salads including plating

  • Rotate inventory as required

  • Maintain kitchen in a clean and sanitary condition at all times

  • Overall expectation is that all Kitchen/Culinary Team Members learn each station in the kitchen and execute all job duties of each station efficiently and effectively

  • Respond promptly and appropriately to all guest requests and concerns, remaining proactive to anticipate guest needs

  • Maintain highest level of customer service and professionalism with guests, management, and co-workers at all times

  • Follow checklists and standard operating procedures

  • Adhere to all safety standards and guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age. 

  • Prior work experience in a restaurant kitchen setting.

  • Possess a strong work ethic and an enthusiastic attitude toward teamwork.  

  • Possess or be able to obtain or already possess a food handler’s card.

  • Possess awareness of local, state, and federal health and sanitation laws. 

  • Able to communicate effectively and be understood in English. 

  • Able to lift heavy objects (25 – 50 lbs.) on a continual basis.  

  • Able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for up to 8 hours per shift. 

  • Able to work in crowded and confined spaces. 

  • Able to operate or quickly learn HOH POS system.

  • Able to maintain excellent guest service and professional appearance.

REPORTS TO:

Managers, Shift Supervisors, Company Ownership

COMPENSATION:

Kitchen team member: $20.50 per hour plus a share of the tip pool.
Kitchen Manager: $25 per hour, 45-50 hours per week.
